At Rabbet, we believe in more than just making beautiful furniture; we believe in supporting the people and communities behind every piece. Today, we want to share something close to our hearts.  

Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina, hitting hard the very community of artisans and craftsmen who make much of the high-quality furniture we proudly offer. These individuals—our friends, partners, and neighbors—are facing immense challenges, many having lost not just their tools and workshops but also their homes.  

Having lived through a Category 5 storm in recent years myself, I deeply understand what it means to rebuild after such devastation. The destruction, the uncertainty, and the slow, painstaking recovery leave scars that only compassion, dedication, and community support can heal. This is why Rabbet is stepping in—because we know how it feels when your world is turned upside down, and we believe no one should face it alone.  

For every sale made through our website, we will donate $20 to directly support the affected furniture craftsmen and their families. These funds will go toward providing immediate relief and resources to help them start rebuilding their lives.  

But our commitment doesn’t stop there. When the time is right, and rebuilding homes becomes a priority, we plan to donate furniture to those in need—helping restore a sense of normalcy and comfort. Because rebuilding isn’t just about walls and roofs; it’s about creating spaces where life can start fresh, with dignity and hope.  

Beyond financial support, our involvement is personal. As founding partners of Rabbet, Britt and I have already been on the ground volunteering in the cleanup and recovery efforts, and we will continue to do so for as long as it takes. Supporting this community isn’t just a company initiative—it’s a mission that aligns with our values and personal experiences.
